The purpose of this project was to create a life-review therapy program to prevent and reduce the symptoms of depression within a targeted elderly population living in Laguna Woods Village, a community of 18,000 persons, in addition to identifying the funding sources and writing a grant proposal thesis. A thorough and extensive literature review revealed the ever expanding number of older adults who experience depression. This proposal will be presented to the Archstone Foundation as the primary funding source. Actual submission of this grant was not a requirement for successful completion of this project.
