中高齡未婚單身女性面對老化調適情形之個案探討

摘要註:	本研究旨在探討中高齡未婚單身女性在面對必然來臨的「老化」問題時，其自身對「老化」的認知與個人內、外在調適情形。本研究採質性個案研究法，訪談4位年齡介於45〜65歲之間，自始從未有過結婚經驗的中高齡未婚單身女性。訪談內容經資料處理分析後，獲得以下之研究結果：（1）單身的成因及單身的認知：受訪者單身的成因多元，對單身的認知為可自由自在的生活，皆受家人默默支持。（2）生理老化的反應與調適：受訪者對生理老化帶來的病痛與行動受限感到不安，透過運動養生來調適。（3）心理老化反應與調適：受訪者心理老化的問題是孤寂感與負向情緒，但都能以正向情緒與宗教信仰來調適。（4）社會老化反應與調適：受訪者面對社會老化的困境是人際關係式微，多從家人朋友間的互動與繼續學習來調適。（5）老年準備情形：受訪者對老年準備抱持活在當下的想法，較欠缺積極的規劃與準備，但都希望有個無拖、無累的生命終點。最後，本研究依據研究結果提出建議，期望此研究結果可供未婚單身女性面對老化調適的參考，以助順利老化，並藉此能喚起學者專家對此議題的重視。

The researcher adopted a qualitative case study method and interviewed four single women whom were between 45 and 65 years old. After data processing and analysis of the interview contents, the following results were obtained: (1)Reasons and perception of being single: Interviewees were single due to multiple reasons. A single life for them was recognized as a free life, supported by their family. (2)Response and adjustment of physiological aging: Interviewees felt uneasy about the pain and limitation of movement caused by physiological aging, and adjusted them through exercise regimen. (3) Response and adjustment of mental aging: The psychological aging problems of the interviewees were loneliness and negative emotions, but they could adjust themselves by positive emotions and religious beliefs. (4) Response and adjustment of social aging: The interviewees adjusted the decline of interpersonal relationships through the increasing interaction between family and friends and continuous learning. (5) Preparation for the elderly life: Interviewees held the idea of being ready to live in the present for old age. They lacked active planning and preparation, but they all hoped that there will be a life end without procrastination and fatigue. Finally, this study made recommendations based on the study findings. It is hoped that the results can be used as a reference to help the middle-aged single women adjust the aging smoothly, and to arouse the attention for scholars and experts on this issue.
