摘要註:	社區關懷據點的多元服務，適合提供高齡者社會參與的場域，多數研究顯示男性高齡者參與比率低於女性，因此，本研究採質性研究以半結構訪談大綱進行深度訪談，選取參與社區關懷據點活動之男性高齡者共8位為研究對象，訪談歸納得出下列研究結果：(1)參與需求：多偏向心理及社會的支持，對身體健康亦有助益；(2)參與動機：陪同配偶、親友鼓勵；(3)參與活動阻礙因素：活動內容及設計偏重以女性高齡者為主，導致傳統男性尊嚴受到挑戰；(4)男性高齡者較偏愛以打鼓、唱歌活動為主，此類型活動偏中性化特質，不易讓其自尊性受損，除此之外，男性高齡者對共餐感到滿意，因其符合傳統性別文化建構中男女的角色分配。依照本研究結果提出三點建議以增加男性高齡者之社會參與：(1)社區關懷據點依照男性高齡者生活經驗進行活動設計，以符合其需求；(2)鼓勵據點之女性高齡者攜伴參與社區活動；(3)加強男女性別平等之觀念。

However, most results of study showed that the participation rate of males is lower than that of females. For this reason, this study will take the elderly males as the subject, and the qualitative research will be conducted by semi-structured interview. Eight elderly males who participate in activities held by community care centers are selected as the subject of study. After collecting data, we arrange, analyze and come up with conclusions. The results are as below: (1) Participation needs: mostly mental and social support, and benefits to the physical health; (2) Participation motivations: accompanying the partner, and encouraged by friends and family members; (3) Participation impedimental factors: the content and design of activity are more focused on the elderly females, challenging the traditional male’s pride; (4) Elderly males prefer participating in activities such as playing drums, singing, etc. However, this kind of activity is more for both male and female, hard to hurt their pride. In addition, elderly males are satisfied with community meals because it corresponds to the traditional roles of sexuality (females and males are playing different roles in the society). According to the results of this study, three recommendations are concluded to increase the social participation desire of male elderly: (1) Design activities on the basis of needs and the life experience of elderly males in community care centers; (2) Encourage the elderly females to take their partners to participate in community activities; (3) Fortify the concept of sexual equality for both males and females.
