This study considered whether there was a quantifiable improvement in the scores of English as second language learners who participated in literature response circles. Data, in the form of test scores from a previous informal literature response circles were analyzed in this study using the Statistical Package for Social Science data analysis software. The results obtained from the data analysis indicated that literature response circles have a quantifiable effect on the language acquisition of English as second language learners.
