To investigate the low frequency temperature fluctuations, a cross-spectrum based noise measurement technique that eliminates the instrument noise was used. Experiments were conducted using both J type and T type thermocouples. Results show well defined correlation length with the decrease of the cross correlation with thermocouple separation. More experiments need to be performed to get a clearer idea of the factors affecting the fluctuations.
