The study of color has perhaps never been more important than it is at this moment. Boundaries between what is physical and what is virtual are becoming more difficult to discern. These boundaries depend on our perception of color and space. They depend on how surface and light interact. These boundaries depend on our understanding of these relationships. By breaking apart the notion of light and analyzing isolated properties of color in digital space, new ways of thinking about color's spatial potential might occur.

Research is based on, but not limited to, aspects of image processing such as color channeling and methods of display. Pixel information will be recorded from consecutive frames of digital video. A series of animated models will be constructed from that pixel information in an attempt to communicate the structure of color within new digital color spaces.* (Abstract shortened by UMI.)
