摘要註:	根據行政院國家發展委員會推估，我國107年老年人口比率將超過14%進入高齡社會。在高齡化社會，中高齡者是否能藉由人際互動，正向的態度面對老化，讓自己保持身心健康過充實有意義的生活，是值得探討的一環。本研究主要探討中高齡者樂觀特質與人際關係之間的相關性。以200位南投縣45歲以上之中高齡者為樣本，進行問卷調查與分析。研究內容包括「樂觀特質量表」、「人際關係量表」和「個人基本資料調查表」。研究結果顯示中高齡者在不同性別、年齡、居住情形、職業對於整體樂觀特質無顯著差異；不同健康狀況、經濟狀況其整體樂觀特質則有顯著差異。不同性別、年齡、教育程度對於整體人際關係無顯著差異；不同居住情形、不同職業、不同健康狀況、不同經濟狀況其整體人際關係則有顯著差異。根據本研究結果樂觀特質與人際關係的皮爾森基差相關係數r=.703**，p=.000，呈高度正相關，意即越樂觀的人其人際關係越好，人際關係越好也就越樂觀建議中高齡者尊重並接納他人，透過社會接觸與人交往建立和諧友誼關係。

In an aging society, it is worth studying whether theelderly could face the process of aging with optimistic attitude and people interaction, therefore to live in a healthy and enriched life. The objective of this study is to evaluate the correlation between the optimist ictrait and the social relationship of the elderly group. Two hundreds questionnaires were received from participants who were over 45 in Nantou County. The study includes the data received from the “Optimistic Trait Scale”, the “Social Relation Scale” and the “Basic Personal Information”. According to the survey, there are no significant differences between the groups from different genders, ages, occupations and the residential conditions. On the contrary, there are distinct differences between groups unde rdifferent health and economic conditions. There are no differences in social relation between groups from different genders, ages and educational backgrounds; nonetheless, there are divergences between 6 groups from different occupations, health and economic conditions. There is a very high positive correlation according to the result from the Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient on the optimistic trait and the social relationship. The result shows that the elderly who have higher optimistic traitare better in social relationship, andvice versa. In summary, the elderly are recommended to have more empathy for others and to build up steady and friendly relationship through social contact and companionship support.
