摘要註:	人的生命就是一則故事，故事蘊含人們生命的經驗，傳達生命的真實和豐厚。老年代表的是人生經驗的累積與智慧的結晶，每個老人都有其存在的獨特意義，本研究旨在以「生命回顧」為主軸，採用質性研究法之敘事探究的方式，探討一位出生於台灣30年代，白手起家的男性長者的一生，紀錄其生命圖像，以理解老人生命建構的軌跡，並為其留下珍貴的生命史料。研究者先向研究參與者說明研究目的，經研究參與者同意並簽署同意書後，依據半結構訪談大綱進行訪談。根據受訪者的口述歷史，理解其生命經驗，探究其敘事中事件的關聯性，透過其生命敘說文本之分析，詮釋老人生命故事之內涵。研究結果發現：一、台灣30年代出生的老人有「宿命論」的生命初始態度，但仍有人不願屈服在命運之下。二、男性的生命意義重視個人成就與事業發展。三、男性的生命歷程中性別角色，會因生命遭受重大波折而改變。四、男性生命脈絡中呈現生命的韌度。五、宗教信仰帶給老人平安與力量。本文藉著一位長者生命回顧，用更寬廣的脈絡理解生命經驗，藉由敘事達到認識和統整自我，以建構自我認同，對於長者本身有自我創造與療癒功效。建議社區關懷據點與樂齡學習中心可推廣此活動，為長者一生留下獨特珍貴的紀錄。

The elderly represent the accumulation of life experiences and the crystallization of wisdom. Every old man owns his unique meaning. This study uses "Life Review" as the main axis for exploring the life of a self-made male born in the 1940s in Taiwan by way of narrative inquiry, to record his life images, to understand the path of his life construction, and to capture the precious historical data of his life. The researcher explained the purpose of the study to the research participant first and interviewed him according to the semi-structured interview outline after he agreed and signed the consent form. The researcher recorded the elder’s oral history to understand his life experience, to explore the relevance of the events in his narrations, and to interpret the meaning of the elder’s life story through an analysis of the life narrative text. The first finding of the analysis was children born in the 1940s in Taiwan had an initial life attitude of "fatalism", but they were not willing to yield to fate. The second finding was men attach much importance to personal achievements and career development. Third, the male role in the course of life will be changed by the great twists and turns of life. Fourth, the life of the male showed the toughness of life. Fifth, religious beliefs brought the elderly peace and strength. In this paper, we can understand an elderly man’s life experiences in the broader context through his life review and build self-identity to achieve self-understanding and self-consolidation by narrating. It provided the elderly self-creation and a healing effect. The researcher recommended Community Care Center or Elderly Learning Center to promote this activity and leave unique and precious records for the elderly.
