摘要註:	本論文旨在了解高齡者參與志願服務之動機與參與影響，本文採用立意抽樣訪談法針對南投縣草屯鎮一位高齡志工進行質性資料的蒐集及分析，本研究目的有三：（1）探討高齡者參與志願服務的動機。（2）了解高齡者在持續參與志願服務過程中的因素。（3）探討高齡者參與志願服務所產生的影響。本研究結果如下：（1）助人不求回報是高齡者參與志願服務的主要內在動機（2）社會性動機有助於引導高齡者參與志願服務；（3）高齡者持續參與志願服務的因素是多元且互相影響的；（4）角色的轉變讓高齡者擴大視野；（5）高齡者藉由參與志願服務肯定自我；（6）高齡志工藉由參與志願服務擴展人際，互相幫助；（7）參與志願服務有助於促進身心健康；（8）參與志願服務有助於引發學習興趣衍生終身學習；（9）有助於社會產生自助互助的循環；（10）有助於彌補社會人力缺口，累積人力資本。最後本研究針對高齡者參與志願服務的現況提出以下建議：（1）應鼓勵高齡者積極參與志願服務；（2）運用服務組織特色與資源，豐富志願服務內容；（3）定期舉辦相關課程講座吸引高齡者參加志工行列；（4）公部門透過宣傳釐清社會對志願服務的錯誤印象。

This paper collected and analysed the qualitative data of an elderly volunteer in Caotun Town, Nantou County by means of purposeful sampling interview. The purposes of this study were: (1) to explore the motivation of the elderly volunteers to participate in volunteer service; (2) to understanding the persistent factors of the elderly in participating in volunteer service; (3) to explore the impact of volunteer service for the elderly.The findings by in-depth interview were as follows: (1) helping the elderly without reward was the main intrinsic motivation for volunteer service; (2) social motivation helped to guide the elderly to participate in volunteer service; (3) the factors of the elderly's continuous participation in volunteer service were multiple and interactional; (4) the change of roles enlarged their horizons; (5) the elderly affirmed themselves by participating in volunteer service; (6) older volunteers expanded their interpersonal relationships and helped each other by participating in voluntary service; (7) participating in voluntary service helped to promote physical and mental health; (8) participating in voluntary service helped to arouse interest in learning and derive lifelong learning; (9) participating in voluntary service helped to create a cycle of self-help and mutual assistance in society; (10) participating in voluntary service helped to fill the gap of social manpower and accumulate human capital.Finally, the researcher proposed the following suggestions regarding the present circumstances of senior volunteer work:（1）the elderly should be encouraged to actively participate in volunteer service;（2）using the characteristics and resources of service organization to enrich the content of volunteer service;（3）holding regular courses and lectures to attract the elderly to participate in volunteer ranks;（4）public sector assistance and counseling are suitable for the elderly to participate in volunteer service.
