Summary:	在中華民國傳統的社會中,「死亡」一直是大家談論的禁忌,雖然死亡是人的一生歷程中無可避免的一環,不論生前是富貴或是貧窮,最終都會面臨死亡這一步。而死亡後的「身後大事」也因為對於死亡的畏懼,延伸出一系列的禮俗活動與禮儀規範。本研究旨在以一位執事法師之觀點,來探討民間傳統喪禮儀節。本研究以文獻分析法及比較法來進行研究,得知以下結果:(1)隨著時代進步,喪葬禮儀由繁複變為簡化,可能因觀念、信仰、喪葬禮儀的意見不同或想法分岐,但對先人懷念尊敬的心是不會改變的;(2)研究者在執事喪葬法事仍以維持傳統喪葬儀節來辦理,希望可以將正確的觀念傳達給家屬。由以上研究結果顯示:喪葬儀節的繁複,代表在世的子孫對於逝世的親屬無限的懷念與感恩,所以從古流傳下來的精神與禮節仍該被保留下來,並傳承給後代子孫。

Although death is an unavoidable part of a person's life, whether it is rich or poor before his death, he will eventually face the death. After death, the "behind events" also extended a series of ritual activities and etiquette norms because of the fear of death. The purpose of this study is to explore the traditional folk funeral rituals from the perspectives of a Taoist priest. This study used literature analysis with comparison methods, and obtained the following results: (1) With the evolution of the times, funeral rituals have changed from complexity to simplicity due to different opinions ̧ ideas and beliefs, but the spirit to respect the ancestors remained unchanged; (2) As a researcher and a Taoist priest, funeral rituals were still performed in traditional ways, hoping to convey the correct ideas to the families of the deceased. The above results showed that the complexity of the funeral ceremony represented the infinite memory and gratitude for the deceased from their surviving families. Thus, the spirit and etiquette from ancient times should be retained and passed on to future generations.
