摘要註:	寵物相伴，有助於渡過老年階段所面對的寂寞，甚至可讓樂齡生活更活躍，但寵物往往比人類更早離世。當高齡者在同樣高齡的寵物的身上，見證了寵物的老化與死亡，這般親身經歷衝擊將對老人帶來怎樣的心理衝擊，特別是，心愛寵物的死亡會不會影響高齡飼主本身對於死亡的看法嗎？這是本文的焦點。本文採質性研究並輔以半結構式的訪談，針對六位有飼養寵物且曾經歷寵物死亡之高齡者進行訪談，紀錄並就主要議題整理訪談內容。本研究發現，當兩個老生命走過相互陪伴的歲月，並經歷失去彼此的哀傷，可能有助於老人對於死亡的準備與相對釋懷。

However, the pets are sooner than human beings to pass away from this world. While bearing witness to their pets’ aging and death, what kinds of psychological effect would impact the elderly？ Especially, is there any influence on the elderly’s views about their own death？ Such is the main issue of this study. This dissertation surveys six older adults who have raised pets for years and also underwent the process of dying, and the death, of their dear pets. To keep the main issues in mind, I’ll record and re-organize the content of the interview and analyze the possible outcome. Perhaps, if the two “old guys ” have stayed side by side for a long time, also with the sad experience of losing each other, that would be helpful for the elderly to prepare for, and relatively let go of, the coming of death.
