"Fault Analysis and its Impact on Grid-connected Photovoltaic Systems Performance explains how fault analysis can be used to estimate the reliability of the product; ensuring that the product is reliable is an important step to avoid any failure or issues in the future. Failure mechanisms are a critical aspect of determining the reliability of the power system, dealing with the physical, chemical, and electrical processes through which the failure occurs in the system. Based on the type of failure process, these failure mechanisms can be modelled when appropriate material and environmental information are available. Moreover, with the advancements in machine learning approaches, the failure data along with the modelled mechanisms can be used to identify the operating state of the power system. With advancements in machine learning approaches, the authors look at how failure data can be used to identify how power systems are operating, helping to perform risk analysis, estimating the product's reliability, and reducing the likelihood of a failure. Aimed at industry workers and researchers, the book explains how to apply different approaches to fault detection, including signal and image processing approaches, and discusses the impact of faults in grid connected photovoltaic systems. With contributions from experts within the field, this book is a welcome addition to the literature and presents updated technology and approaches throughout."--
