摘要註:
隨著全球人口老齡化趨勢加劇，矯正機關中的高齡收容人數量逐年增加。他們相較於一般收容人，有著更複雜的身心健康需求，若未能得到充分重視和有效處理，將嚴重影響其在監的矯治效果及出獄後的社會適應能力。本論文題為“高齡收容人矯正處遇議題之研究-以南投看守所為例”，旨在探討如何在現行的高齡矯正處遇制度下，為高齡收容人提供更適切的處遇措施，本研究以南投看守所內五位獄政工作者為研究參與對象，透過質性深度訪談後，獲得如下結果：（1）現行矯正機關在人力及資源有限的情況下，難以兼顧高齡收容人之長照工作。（2）發展專屬於高齡收容人的長照制度。（3）可仿效先進國家成立高齡收容專區或專監，以兼顧高齡收容人之矯正及長照目標。透過本研究之研究結果，研究者祈望能提供給相關單位作為矯正及照護高齡收容人之參考。

As the global population continues to age, the number of elderly inmates in correctional institutions is steadily increasing. Compared to the general inmate population, elderly inmates have more complex physical and mental health needs. If these needs are not adequately addressed, it could severely impact their rehabilitation while incarcerated and their ability to reintegrate into society after release. This thesis, titled "A Study on the Correctional Treatment Issues of Elderly Inmates: A Case Study of the Nantou Detention Center," aims to explore how appropriate treatment measures can be provided for elderly inmates under the current correctional treatment system. The study focuses on five correctional officers at the Nantou Detention Center as research participants, using qualitative in-depth interviews to gather the following results: (1) Under current conditions of limited manpower and resources, it is difficult for correctional institutions to effectively address the long-term care needs of elderly inmates. (2) A dedicated long-term care system specifically for elderly inmates should be developed. (3) Following the example of advanced countries, special zones or correctional facilities for elderly inmates should be established to meet both their correctional and long-term care needs.
