摘要註:	地球的資源無法取之不盡，用之不竭。如何讓資源回收再利用是目前產業最需思考的問題。高齡社會來臨，高齡者的壽命普遍延長，面對生命週期的延長，有多少高齡者願意投入資源回收的行列呢？研究者在社區經常看到高齡者進行資源回收工作，這個觀察引發研究者想探究高齡者做資源回收之動機、歷程、挑戰與成就，乃至對其自我實現之影響，故本研究旨在探討高齡者從事資源回收再利用之動機、歷程、挑戰與成就，乃至對其自我實現之影響。本研究採用質性研究之半結構式訪談，研究參與者為一位退休牧師。透過訪談資料彙整與分析，得知研究結果為：（1）受訪者選擇退休後從事資源回收再利用工作，其動機源自於他對社會服務工作的熱愛以及希望在退休後的生活中尋找新意義和貢獻。（2）受訪者在從事資源回收再利用工作的歷程中，受訪者面臨了不少的挑戰，包括家人不理解、社會觀感的壓力，以及體力上的透支。（3）受訪者透過自我學習和不斷的自我統整，逐漸獲得了社區的認可和支持，由此而感到快樂和滿足。（4）受訪者從事資源回收再利用的工作後，對自我實現的影響在於延續對服務人群的熱愛，並實踐了自己對環保的信念，從工作中獲得成就感，受到社區居民的尊重，從而提升自我價值與社會影響力。最後，研究者再依據研究結果，向有意參與回收工作之高齡者與相關單位及後續研究者提出建議。

How to recycle and reuse resources is currently the most important issue for the industry to consider. With the advent of an aging society, the life span of the elderly is generally extended. Faced with the extension of life cycle, how many elderly people are willing to join the ranks of resource recycling? Researchers often see the elderly doing resource recycling in the community. This observation led the researcher to explore the motivations, processes, joys and sorrows of the elderly doing resource recycling, and even the impact on their self-realization. Therefore, this study aims to explore the elderly motivation, process, joys and sorrows of engaging in resource recycling and reuse, and even the impact on self-realization. This study used semi-structured interviews of qualitative research, and the research participant was a retired pastor. Through the collection and analysis of interview data, the research results were as follows:(1) The interterviewee chose to engage in resource recycling and reuse after retirement. His motivation stemmed from his love for social service work and his desire to find new meaning and contribution in his life after retirement.(2) In the process of engaging in resource recycling and reuse, the interviewee faced many challenges, including lack of understanding from family members, pressure from social perceptions, and physical exhaustion.(3) Through self-learning and continuous self-integration, the interviewee gradually gained recognition and support from the community, and thus he felt happy and satisfied.(4) For the interviewee, the impact of resource recycling and reuse on self-actualization was shown on continuing his love for serving people, practicing his belief in environmental protection, gaining a sense of accomplishment from his work, and being respected by community residents. His self-actualization enhanced his self-worth and social influence. Finally, based on the research results, the researcher makes suggestions to senior citizens who are interested in participating in recycling work, relevant units and subsequent researchers.
