摘要註:	本研究目的在探討圖書館中高齡讀者的學習動機、並深入了解他們對圖書館服務相關五個面向的滿意度狀況。研究方法藉文獻探討各地區圖書館發展情形、及中高齡者閱讀行為與使用需求，針對221位南投縣政府文化局圖書館中高齡使用者，以問卷進行學習動機及各項服務的滿意情形與期望調查，將有效問卷200份蒐集所得的資料以SPSS 12.0 for windows統計軟體進行各種資料的分析。研究結果發現（1）圖書館中高齡讀者以「求知興趣」為參與圖書館學習的最主要的學習動機，不因性別、年齡、教育程度、婚姻狀況、及不同職業而有顯著差異。但學歷較高的中高齡讀者會藉學習得到心靈寄託、充實感、成就感而擁有較高學習動機。（2）中高齡讀者對圖書館以「館藏資源」使用滿意度最高。年齡較高、教育程度較低之中高齡者對使用南投縣政府文化局圖書館皆具有較高之滿意度。（3）中高齡讀者圖書館學習動機與使用滿意度兩者間具有顯著正相關。發現當中高齡讀者「求知興趣」與「外界期望」的學習動機愈高時，整體使用滿意度愈高；而當其對「館員服務態度」滿意度愈高時，整體學習動機也會相對提昇。（4）中高齡者之「求知興趣」學習動機對圖書館使用滿意度最具預測力，顯示「求知興趣」動機越高者，預測對圖書館整體使用會有高滿意度。本研究結果希望提供未來各縣市圖書館規劃中高齡讀者服務時的參考依據，協助公共圖書館改善中高齡讀者的服務品質，以增加中高齡者使用圖書館的學習動機。

Five indexes regarding library services were examined. The research also investigated the correlations between the motivation and user satisfaction of the population. The study reviewed a broad spectrum of literature and hence analyzed the reading behaviors and the needs of the mid-aged and elderly citizens accordingly. About 221 mid-aged and elderly users in Nantou County Government Library participated into the questionnaire survey. Effective data derived from 200 subjects were collected and analyzed by SPSS 12.0. Results showed that the subjects’ primary motivation in using the library was the interest in acquiring information. There was no significance among gender, age, academic degrees, marital status, and different vocations. Moreover, those who had higher academic degrees tended to own sense of enrichment. In addition, the satisfaction rate of library resources was scored the highest. Those who were older and had lower academic degrees tended to have higher user satisfaction when using Nantou County Government Library. Thirdly, the correlation between learning motivation and user satisfaction showed positive significance. Result also demonstrated that the higher motivations related to the interest of acquiring information and outsiders’ expectation, the higher satisfaction rate. When the population was highly satisfied with library personnel’s attitudes, the overall motivation was raised. Lastly, among the population’s motivation indexes, the interest in acquiring information was predictive to the user satisfaction. That is, those who are highly motivated to acquire information in the library will likely have higher user satisfaction. This study concluded that those who are highly motivated to acquire information in the library will likely have higher user satisfaction. In sum, this study may provide more information to the upcoming library planning for all cities and counties in Taiwan.
